About Llandudno
Llandudno, known as “the Queen of the Welsh Resorts,” is the largest seaside resort town in Wales, celebrated for its picturesque Victorian architecture along the long promenade. The town features two popular beaches: North Shore, which offers a two-mile stretch of sand and has won the Seaside Award for cleanliness, and West Shore, ideal for outdoor activities like football and kite flying.
The award-winning Llandudno Pier, the longest in Wales, provides classic attractions such as fairground rides, amusements, and the traditional Punch and Judy puppet show. Happy Valley, developed from a former quarry, boasts beautiful gardens, a putting green, and a cable car that takes visitors to the top of the Great Orme.
The Great Orme rises 679 feet and houses endangered species, including the rare Wild Cotoneaster flower. Its stunning views over
Llandudno Bay and, on clear days, the Isle of Man, can be enjoyed via the Great Orme Tramway, the last street tram of its kind in the UK.
